Sperm May Treat Depression - Really?
Ok, the Guardian in 2003 reported a few psychological studies, one of which demonstrate how semen may be used to treat depression.
Gordon Gallup at the state university of new york asked just under 1000 women about their sex lives. He found that, consistently, those women who said they never use a condom with their partner were found to be happier across various pscyho-metric tools.
He goes on...

The world didn't change and here is why.
Yesterday I posted about a radio signal which was supposedly from a Kepler planet. This signal would have proven alien life to exist…if it were actually from a Kepler planet.
So in my post I was rather confounded as to why this wasn’t massive news? Alien life? Big news right? Well no.
The signal was not from a Kepler planet, it was in fact probably down to something a bit closer to...

Yesterday the world may have changed forever...and...
Yesterday, SETI observed the above radio signal from exoplanetary candidate KOI 817. The researchers at Berkeley say that these signals are exactly what would be expected if a race of beings were sending radio signals into space. They say that the narrow band frequency immediately rules out any natural phenomenon.
“These signals look similar to what we think might be produced from an...

My favourite tryptamines; serotonin has nothing on...
I want to introduce you all to Psilocybin the active ingredient in magic mushrooms. Once ingested the body removes a phosphorous atom and it becomes Psilocin.
Psilocin differs from my favourite tryptamine “di-methyl-tryptamine” by only one oxygen molecule and whilst both being illegal is probably a lot easier to get a hold of than DMT, not that i’m advocating it in anyway. Rick...

D’ya Know Deino?
So, recently I moved to Leeds and wow…culture shock. The culture, despite being only 20 minutes away from Bradford is absolutely different. Street performers are ripe and I want to talk about one who I was lucky enough to have a quick chat with today, Opie Deino.
She is a soulful songstress wielding nothing but an amazing rustic voice and an acoustic guitar. It’s very rare that I stop and...
"Why I wish I had dropped out of University" →
My message to anyone who read this and is now thinking against university is to ignore it. University was the best 3 years of my life. There is no other place where you can meet like-minded people, dress up (or down) in ridiculous outfits and have a mental time doing things (or people) you would never do normally. The experience is life changing and I say go for it. I’m back in University...

Ron Weasley Suicide @viceuk
http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/ron-weasley-suicide-film
I was innocently checking my facebook feed when I saw this link posted by Vice, they found it whilst innocently googling for class A tubby cake or something similar. Anyway, it’s a short film about life after hogwarts for our not so special ginger friend, Ron.
He has no friends, he has a drinking problem and also has a mild case of...
