Hey, I'm Daniel. I study a MSc in Neuroscience at Uni. Leeds. I write an E-Zine called @NeuroSupremacy. It's all about the brain. Obvs.

I think you should read my interview with the lostprophets, or my interview with Zebrahead or maybe my report on Andrew Fenlon...or even his response to my report. I met Jedward once too, they suck. Read the interview with my childhood hero Danny Smith! I also just interviewed Chris Ramsey, a cool comedian. Oh and OK GO! sexy band. I just reviewed day 1 and day 2 of Infest 2010. I covered Bingley Music Live where I interviewed The Blackout and Dan Le Sac & Scroobius Pip. I just interviewed Less Than Jake.

Top 10 Blog Posts From The Past 2 Years

Stop The Earth is celebrating it’s 2 year birthday with over 12k unique visitors and visitors from over 100 different countries I couldn’t be happier. I know the numbers sound rather small, but when you consider that STE is a silly little hobby of mine I’m rather proud.

Using the data from google analytics I have compiled the top 10 blog posts from the past 2 years.

10. Interview With Danny Smith - Danny Smith played Merton Dingle in Big Wolf On Campus alongside the legendary Brandon Quinn. When the show ended Danny went on to form a band called The City Drive who broke up last year. He is now persuing his own artistic endeavours.

9. Our Future as Humans - As a Neuro-Psychologist with a strict focus on Evolutionary science I have always had an interest in where the human race might be going, I posted this so long ago I had to go dig it out. Human evolution may go in various ways but here are just two of those possible ways. 1) The human race will split into two distinct races and 2) The human race will voluntarily become extinct.

8. Clark Kent Look a Like Andrew Fenlon - Andrew Fenlon auditioned for American Idol and pissed pretty much everyone off. I love him though, so much so we are now facebook friends. I defend him here and take a psychodynamic look at the lead attacker Kara Dioguardi.

7. Interview with Chris Ramsey - I met this HE-LARIOUS chap a good while ago now. I saw him on Russell Howard’s good news before seeing him, but at that moment I knew I needed to meet him. If only to discover the secrets of how his hair remains so perfect.

6. Vice Blog Network - In 2010 I joined the Vice Magazine Blog Network which has and always will be a great source of inspiration to me. The opportunities are amazing and seemingly endless.

5. Red Ender Alert! Set Phasers to Fun! - This is brilliant! It’s a blog post about star trek porn. One of the funniest and most bizarre things I’ve ever seen in my 22 years on this planet.

4. Interview with the Lostprophets - This interview was the first in my music journalism frontier which is quietly fading away now. It lead to other interviews including; OK GO, Less than Jake, MC Lars, The Blackout & others.

3. Infest 2010 Review - Cyber Goth Madness - This was the first time that the festival had come to the newly refurbished student union of bradford university. It was pretty fit. This was a total culture shock to me, seeing men dressed like women and women dressed in nothing. I had a really good time though and enjoyed the sheet out of myself.

2. Keanu Reeves - Vampire? - This is obviously one of my more silly posts but has been viewed so much so that it just reminds me the internet must be full of silly people. Basically, it’s me proving beyond a doubt that Keanu Reeves is infact the walking dead.

1. Interview with Zebrahead - This was one of the most fun interviews I’ve ever done. The guys were watching porn as I asked questions. It did not get uncomfortable.

Well that’s the top 10 blog posts of the last two years! I hope 2012 will bring even more good times and good posts for you all to love and masturbate over.

Interview with the other big wolf! Danny Smith!

Ever since Danny Smith was involved in Big Wolf on Campus, one of my favourite children’s shows, I have been involved in following his career. Big Wolf was a great success, which sadly ended…He got a band called The City Drive together and there sound was pretty amazing. He just started his solo music career, with some electro-rock-pop beats which you can check out on his myspace. He gracefully answered some of my questions!

1) So you have had an entertainment career that some would kill for, you played Merton J Dingle in what remains my favourite childhood show and you had a successful band with a great sound. I hear now you are going back to your roots and are pursuing your acting and solo career? If this is true, what made you want to leave the band and do this?

»>everything i cared about in la crashed down on me at one time. i had to leave the city and start anew in my hometown, Toronto. the rebuilding process has been going okay. i’m acting a bit and recording music just for fun.

2) Merton J Dingle, a role I hope you seriously loved was a big nerd, a huge supernatural loving nerd and he captured the hearts of many! He was a character who was always living up to Tommy and in some respects of the phrase always came “second”, he was a “nerd” who didn’t really fit in. Do you think this character reflects you in anyway? Where did you draw your motivation for this character?

»>playing the nerd is my bread & butter haha. bwoc was a dream job, where i got to release all of my goofiness and put it on screen every week. i hadn’t watched a frame of the show in 8 years and just found it on tv recently. i watched three episodes. it’s hilarious and i love seeing the ol’ gang together.

3) Your music has a great sound, a sort of pop-rock-fun-punk sound that hit the internet hard, do you ever feel like there will be a reunion of the band?

»>i’d be interested in reuniting but my sound has changed drastically. my songs are still (hopefully) catchy but it’s all electropop now. plus, i live on the other side of the continent, so i don’t see a reunion happening anytime soon. i do still love those guys.

4) I know that when you were in The City Drive, a whole host of English fans asked you for hope that you would one day tour the UK, what are your thoughts on this?

»> still hoping…

5) Your style is clean cut punk cool and I love it, do you consciously make decisions about what to wear or do you think it comes naturally?

»> i take all of my sartorial cues from williamsburg kids. kidding.

6) On a quick side note, you are a Canadian dude…How do you feel about TV shows such as South park which frequently make Canada into a joke?

»>i love it! all canadians do. we have the best sense of humor. ever notice how the biggest comedic box office stars are all canucks? jim carrey, mike myers, seth rogen…

7) What are your upcoming plans? Can you give us an exclusive on anything you plan on doing next or have in the works?

»>there’s a huge acting job i am hoping to book. hopefully i can give you some good news very soon. if nothing happens by the end of this summer, i’ll give up the biz and get a “real” job. otherwise, i’m just making music and paintings and trying to figure out my life.

other questions!

1) Are you on team Werewolf or team Vampire?

»>i’m team kristen stewart.

2) How do you define Time, in one sentence if you can.

»>time is the disease we will all die from and i wish we could stop it.

3) Define yourself in one word.

»>generally: fun. these days: stressed.

4) Boxers or Briefs

»>boxerbriefs.

5) Are you in a relationship?

»>as facebook would say, “it’s complicated.”

6) A red head, A blonde and a Brunette….Who do you kiss, sleep with and marry?

»>brunettes across the board.
