Hey, I'm Daniel. I study a MSc in Neuroscience at Uni. Leeds. I write an E-Zine called @NeuroSupremacy. It's all about the brain. Obvs.

I think you should read my interview with the lostprophets, or my interview with Zebrahead or maybe my report on Andrew Fenlon...or even his response to my report. I met Jedward once too, they suck. Read the interview with my childhood hero Danny Smith! I also just interviewed Chris Ramsey, a cool comedian. Oh and OK GO! sexy band. I just reviewed day 1 and day 2 of Infest 2010. I covered Bingley Music Live where I interviewed The Blackout and Dan Le Sac & Scroobius Pip. I just interviewed Less Than Jake.

Yesterday the world may have changed forever…and nobody really noticed.

Yesterday, SETI observed the above radio signal from exoplanetary candidate KOI 817. The researchers at Berkeley say that these signals are exactly what would be expected if a race of beings were sending radio signals into space. They say that the narrow band frequency immediately rules out any natural phenomenon.

“These signals look similar to what we think might be produced from an extraterrestrial technology. They are narrow in frequency, much narrower than would be produced by any known astrophysical phenomena, and they drift in frequency with time, as we would expect because of the Doppler effect imposed by the relative motion of the transmitter and the receiving radio telescope,”

Could this be the first discovery of another race? Proof of alien life in the universe? If it is nobody really is paying much attention to it. It’s incredibly exciting though, I hope people remember today if it turns out that it is a big deal.

BBC Review…

So it would seem the BBC is going to stop broadcasting some of the radio stations as well as BBC Asia…If this is true…can we get a cheaper TV licence? You know…our money is clearly not stretching far enough so they need to close some stuff down…that’s cool…I appreciate that the licence fee isn’t being raised to meet BBC Asia and Radio needs (because well, i don’t care about BBC Asia and Radio)…The only way in hell i would pay more of a fee is if BBC Three went off the air…After slicing up my wrists i would march down to BBC Manchester and smash some skulls.

Mr Thompson (Right) says he wants to put more money into the quality of shows rather than the amount of shows being made. He also says that at least half of the BBC web content will be taken down by 2013.

BBC Worldwide is expected to change too, beloved and cultural past time magazines such as Top Gear, Radio Times and (boring) Gardeners’ World will be reviewed and may be taken out of publication.

The BBC is said to be moving towards an international focus, aiming to derive two thirds of its total net gain from outside the UK by 2015…Here’s a question Mr BBC execs…The UK pay your silly licence fee…how about you make us happy before swanning around the world raping other countries for silly fees?

Entertainment Revolution? Digital Revelation! Anarchy will surely ensue.

Mystery of Windermere Street

Is it a ghost? Is it traffic lights? Albert?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8505314.stm

On half of Windermere street, car’s wont open, phones wont work and there is a haunted bakery.
